Athens (Greece), 7 October (LaPresse/AP) – Four people, including a child, have died in the shipwreck of a boat carrying migrants in the Aegean Sea off the Greek island of Lesbos. The Greek Coast Guard reported that a Coast Guard patrol boat recovered the bodies of two women, one man and one girl. A half-submerged boat was found near a rocky area of the coast nearby. Thirty-four survivors managed to reach the shore on their own and were found by the police. Search and rescue operations by land and sea were halted after the survivors told the authorities that there were a total of 38 people on board the boat and that there were no others missing.
