Milan, 7 October. (LaPresse) – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un told Russian President Vladimir Putin that their alliance ‘will be carried forward in an invariably progressive manner in the future,’ as Pyongyang and Moscow have deepened military cooperation in Russia's war against Ukraine. This was reported by Yonhap. Kim sent a letter to Putin on his birthday, according to the KCNA news agency. ‘I have no doubt that the alliance between our two countries, which has reached its zenith, will continue unabated in the future, thanks to the warm friendly relations and close comradely ties between us, and will make a great contribution to vigorously promoting the overall development of bilateral relations and establishing a just and multipolar world order,’ Kim wrote to Putin. In the letter, Kim also said he would fully support Russia's ‘just struggle’ to defend its national sovereignty, apparently referring to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
