Paris, Oct. 14 (LaPresse) – French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced in his general policy speech to the National Assembly the suspension of the pension reform "until January 2028." This was reported by the French broadcaster Bfmtv. "I will not be the Prime Minister of public account collapse. The deficit must be below 5% of GDP," Lecornu added. Previously, the Socialist Party had stated it would present a motion of no confidence against the government if its demands were not met, including the "immediate and complete suspension of the pension reform."
