Turin, 15 October (LaPresse) – The meeting at the White House with Donald Trump ‘could really bring the end of the war closer. The United States has the capacity to exert global influence at this level, and we are doing everything possible to ensure that the rest of the world stands with us in this endeavour.’ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on Telegram. ‘Our delegation is already in Washington, where it has begun preparatory meetings at its level,’ explained the Kiev leader, adding: ‘They are laying the groundwork for talks with the US president, but also for contacts with American defence companies, particularly manufacturers of air defence systems, and with representatives of the energy sector.’
