Turin, 16 October (LaPresse) – The Hostage Families Forum is calling on the Israeli government to suspend implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza until the bodies of the remaining 19 hostages are returned. ‘At a time when Hamas is violating the agreements and still holding 19 hostages, there is no room for Israel to take unilateral measures,’ the group said in a statement. ‘Any diplomatic or military action that does not guarantee their return is an abandonment of Israeli civilians,’ it added. ‘There will be no victory or recovery,’ it emphasised, ‘until they are all here.’ Some members of the Forum made a similar appeal yesterday to the head of the IDF, the Israeli Security Forces, Eyal Zamir. This was reported by the Times of Israel.
