Brussels, Oct 17 (LaPresse/AP) – The Party of European Socialists has unanimously voted to expel Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s Smer party for having taken, in recent years, political positions that “seriously and deeply contradict the values and principles that our family represents,” said Secretary General Giacomo Filibeck. “This is a clear and unanimous message. If you belong to the PES family, you share the values that we all share,” Filibeck said after the vote at the group’s congress in Amsterdam.
