Washington (USA), Oct. 17 (LaPresse) – John Bolton appeared for a preliminary hearing before a judge at the federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland, and pleaded not guilty to all 18 charges against him. The former National Security Advisor during Donald Trump’s first term is accused of improperly handling classified information. According to CNN, when Judge Timothy Sullivan asked how he pleaded to the 18 counts, Bolton firmly replied: "Not guilty." Bolton will be released on his own recognizance. He may travel freely within the country but must hand over his passport and other travel documents to his lawyer. He will need court approval to travel abroad. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 21. If convicted, Bolton faces up to 10 years in prison.
