Rome, 18 October (LaPresse) – The Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli army killed eleven members of a Palestinian family in Gaza, in what is believed to be the deadliest violation of the fragile ceasefire that came into effect eight days ago. According to Gaza's civil defence, the attack took place on Friday evening when Israeli forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle carrying the Abu Shaaban family in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City. Seven children and three women were killed as the family attempted to reach their home to inspect it, civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Basal said in a statement.
