Rome, 18 October (LaPresse) – ‘UN Resolution 2231’ concerning the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran and ‘all its provisions, including the restrictions on Iran's nuclear programme and related mechanisms, are considered terminated as of today’. This was stated by the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement reported by the Tasnim agency on the day the agreement signed between world powers and Iran expired. “With the expiry of Resolution 2231, Iran's nuclear programme should be treated like the nuclear programme of any non-nuclear-weapon state that is a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” the Foreign Ministry said.
