Birmingham (Alabama, USA), 18 October (LaPresse/AP) – Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is travelling around the country to promote her memoir about the presidential campaign, said in an interview with the Associated Press that she is not ruling out running again in the 2028 presidential race. Harris, 60, said she has not made any decisions about her political future. She made it clear that a new candidacy in 2028 is still possible and that she considers herself a prominent figure in the party and a voice in the national debate. ‘I am a leader in the party,’ she told the AP, ‘I take seriously the responsibility and duty I feel’ as a former candidate. This ‘includes travelling around the country speaking and, above all, listening to people,’ she said, and ‘preparing people to fight in the midterm elections’ in 2026.
