Milan, 18 October (LaPresse) – According to Axios, the meeting between Trump and Zelensky was “tense”. Trump, Axios writes, told Zelensky that he does not intend to supply long-range Tomahawk missiles, at least for now, according to two sources familiar with the meeting who spoke to Axios. Zelensky had hoped to leave Washington with commitments for new weapons for Ukraine, ‘but found Trump in a completely different mood the day after a long phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin’. Trump made it clear that his priority now is diplomacy and he believes that supplying Tomahawks could weaken it, the sources said.
