Milan, 20 October. (LaPresse) – The Gaza government press office has stated that Israeli attacks have killed at least 97 Palestinians since the ceasefire came into effect in the Strip on 10 October. The office added in a statement that it had documented 80 violations of the truce by Israel, which it said constituted a clear violation of international humanitarian law. ‘These violations range from direct fire on civilians to deliberate bombings and attacks, the use of simultaneous air strikes and the arrest of numerous civilians,’ the statement said, ‘these practices reflect the occupation's continued aggressive approach, its clear desire for escalation on the ground and its constant thirst for blood and killing.’
