Ukraine, Germany: ‘No fair agreement without Kiev at the negotiating table’

Frankfurt (Germany), 20 October (LaPresse) – "It is absolutely necessary that we now talk about how to stop this war, but it can only be done with Ukraine and not without Ukraine. Ukraine must sit at the negotiating table. Otherwise, there can be no talk of a fair agreement.‘ This was stated by German Minister of State for Europe Gunther Krichbaum upon his arrival at the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg. ’This can only be guaranteed when Ukraine's interests are represented, and it can only be done with Ukraine itself. Ukraine must have a say. It is important that there are talks at this level, but it is equally important to include Ukraine,‘ Krichbaum added. Regarding the possible presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest and the possible need to implement the international arrest warrant against him, he believes that ’Hungary will not share my point of view."
