Washington, Oct. 21 (LaPresse) – According to an Israeli military official who spoke to NBC News, Hamas still has between 10,000 and 20,000 commandos at its disposal. Giora Eiland, former head of Israel’s National Security Council and former chief of the Planning Department of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), stated that Hamas has lost about 20,000 fighters in two years of war.
However, Eiland added that the group will have no difficulty replenishing its ranks, and security officials believe that Hamas has continued recruiting new fighters throughout the conflict.
