Washington (USA), Oct. 28 (LaPresse) – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against Kenvue, the maker of Tylenol, and its parent company Johnson & Johnson, alleging that they “misleadingly” marketed the drug to pregnant women and that the medication is linked to an increased risk of autism. The lawsuit comes about a month after former President Donald Trump publicly claimed that using Tylenol, a pain reliever and fever reducer, during pregnancy could be associated with a higher risk of autism in children, despite decades of evidence on the drug’s safety. Kenvue stated in a release that the drug is safe and that the company will “vigorously defend” itself against the allegations.
