Washington, Oct. 30 (LaPresse) – The issue regarding rare earth supplies from China “has been resolved,” said US President Donald Trump while speaking to journalists on board Air Force One, which will return him to the US after his meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in South Korea. Beijing is therefore expected to lift some of the export restrictions that had caused tensions between the two countries. “This is good for the world,” Trump added. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer also emphasized, according to CNN, that Trump and Xi “have reached an agreement” and that Beijing will not “impose the rare earth controls it had proposed.” “I will go to China in April,” while Xi Jinping “will come to the United States sometime, whether in Florida, Palm Beach, or Washington,” Trump added.
