Milan, 4 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘I never read what this lady says.’ In an interview with Repubblica, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto addressed the statements made by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova regarding the collapse of the tower at the Imperial Forums in Rome. Crosetto described Zakharova's statements as ‘a microscopic part, neither as relevant nor as sophisticated as others, of Russia's capacity for disinformation.’ ‘If the roles were reversed,’ Crosetto continued, "that is, if a piece of Russian history important to Russians had collapsed, with a person's life in danger, I would have been sincerely concerned and saddened. It would not have crossed my mind to argue.‘ Russia ’has so far never shown any willingness to pursue peace, even when it was offered a red carpet and there was talk of ceding territory.‘ ’If they ended the war, there would no longer be any need to help an invaded nation to survive," he stresses.
