Belgium: London sends personnel and equipment after drone incursions

London (United Kingdom), 9 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – Britain is sending equipment and personnel to Belgium after a series of drone sightings near airports. Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton, head of the British Armed Forces, said the UK had agreed to ‘deploy our personnel and equipment to Belgium to help them’ following a request from the Belgian authorities. ‘We don't know – and the Belgians don't yet know – the source of those drones, but we will help them by providing our equipment and capabilities, which we have already begun to deploy to assist Belgium,’ Knighton told the BBC.
