Milan, Nov. 12 (LaPresse) – The French National Assembly has approved by a wide majority the suspension of the pension reform, which included raising the retirement age from 62 to 64. The suspension was passed with 255 votes in favor and 146 against. This halt on a key reform desired by President Emmanuel Macron had been promised by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu to avoid no-confidence motions from the Socialists and thus a potential fall of the government.
