Milan, 14 November (LaPresse) – The Pentagon has announced that the United States has approved the sale of jet parts to Taiwan worth $330 million, for the first time since Donald Trump returned to the White House for his second term. ‘Taiwan thanks the Trump administration for its first announcement of arms sales to Taiwan. Taiwan will continue to defend its democratic values and freedom and ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the region,’ reads a statement released by the Taiwanese presidency. Neither the US nor Taiwan made explicit reference to China.
