Rome, 27 November (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has described rumours about Russia's intention to attack Europe as ‘absurd’ and ‘outright lies’. This was reported by Ria Novosti. ‘We have never had any intention of doing so. But if they want to hear it from us, we will put it on record. No questions asked,’ he added. According to the Kremlin leader, there are people in Europe who are ‘a little crazy’ or ‘a kind of fraudsters’ who ‘want to get something in return’ by telling their citizens ‘that Russia is preparing to attack Europe’ and that, as a result, ‘defence capabilities must be strengthened immediately.’
