Ukraine: Trump Jr. says US will not be “the idiot with the cheque book”

Milan, 7 December (LaPresse) – The United States will not be ‘the big idiot with the cheque book’ for what is happening in the world. This was stated by Donald John Trump Jr., eldest son of US President Donald Trump, speaking at the 23rd edition of the Doha Forum in Qatar, according to reports by the Turkish news agency Anadolu. Regarding Ukraine, Donald J. Trump Jr. said that it is not a priority for the American people and that the American public has no desire ‘to finance everything for everyone around the world without any direct benefit to itself.’ US operations in the Caribbean against drug trafficking pose ‘a much more serious and immediate danger to the United States than anything happening in Ukraine and Russia,’ he added, stressing that Washington wants peace in Ukraine but urging Europe to ‘step up’ and take on more responsibility.
