Washington (USA), 10 Dec. (LaPresse) – The sealed grand jury transcripts relating to the 2019 sex trafficking investigation into Jeffrey Epstein can be made public. This was ruled by a federal judge in Manhattan, granting the Justice Department's request to make public the material relating to the former paedophile financier, who died by suicide in prison. Judge Richard Berman reversed his previous decision to keep the material secret, citing new legislation requiring the government to release its files on Epstein and his confidante and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. Berman had previously warned that the approximately 70 pages of grand jury documents intended for publication contain no particularly new information.
