Rome, 11 December (LaPresse) – Pedro Sánchez has been named Person of the Year 2025 by L'Espresso. An exclusive interview by Felice Florio will be published in the weekly magazine, on newsstands tomorrow. Among the topics addressed by the Spanish Prime Minister: Europe-US relations in the Trump era, the progressive alternative to right-wing governments, the double standard applied to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, the International Olympic Committee's position on Israel's participation in the Winter Games, and the economic recipe for Spanish growth. On the subject of the European Union, Sánchez said, “The paradox is that the more we need Europeanism, the more nationalist and reactionary governments are emerging. And they are only weakening the European project”.
