Turin, 13 December (LaPresse) – "Italy's full support for lasting peace in Gaza was the focus of a long and very friendly meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. I assured him that Italy is at the forefront of support for the Palestinian National Authority, its reforms and security efforts, and will continue to send humanitarian aid through Food For Gaza. With around 1,500 people welcomed, Italy is the leading European country for medical transfers, with over 230 children treated in our hospitals. We are working towards a political horizon that will lead to a two-state solution, for a future of peaceful coexistence between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples."
