Rome, 14 Dec. (LaPresse) – As it ‘has always done’, Italy ‘will continue to help Ukraine’ to achieve a ‘just and lasting’ peace, not an unconditional surrender that would expose ‘Europe itself to serious dangers to its integrity, with a Russia that has so far shown itself to be very aggressive’. This was stated in an interview with Corriere della Sera by Tommaso Foti, Minister for European Affairs, Cohesion and the NRRP, who is convinced that ‘the majority will show unity as it always has.’ The Meloni government will insist on ‘proposing solutions for peace, without unnecessary behind-the-scenes manoeuvring and theatrics casting doubt on it,’ Foti added.
