Sydney (Australia), Dec. 17 (LaPresse/AP) – Hundreds of people gathered in Sydney for the first funerals of the victims of Sunday's attack on Bondi Beach, where two assailants opened fire during celebrations for the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, killing 15 people. The funerals – amid grief, tears, and anger – are being held as Australia, reeling from the massacre, grapples with an internal debate on anti-Semitism and gun control. More than 20 people are still hospitalized. All of the victims identified so far were Jewish. Those killed ranged in age from a 10-year-old girl to an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor.
