Brussels, 17 December (LaPresse) – The United Kingdom will rejoin Erasmus+, the EU programme for education in Europe, from 2027. This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. "Today, we are taking further steps forward in our renewed EU-UK strategic partnership. We have concluded negotiations for the UK's association with Erasmus+ in 2027. We are restoring Erasmus+ for our young people, opening the door to new shared experiences and lasting friendships. We have also concluded exploratory talks on the UK's participation in the EU's internal electricity market. Together, we are committed to continuing to deliver on our joint agenda in time for the next EU-UK summit," she said on X.
