Rome, 17 December (LaPresse) – The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have announced that they have begun demolishing some Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. The operation, which is taking place on the Israeli side of the enclave's ceasefire line, was announced after some Palestinian media reported Israeli air strikes on the eastern part of Gaza City. The Times of Israel reports that, as part of the truce, the IDF has committed to destroying Hamas tunnels and other sites used by the group in areas of the Strip controlled by the Jewish state.
