Milan, 17 Dec. (LaPresse) – "Today we have received further signs from Moscow indicating that next year will be a year of war. And these signs are not just for us. It is important that our partners see this. And it is important that they not only see it, but that they react, particularly our partners in the United States of America, who often say that Russia seems to want to end the war.‘ This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a post on Telegram, commenting on the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin. ’Completely different rhetoric and signals are coming from Russia, such as the official orders given to their army. We need to see this mood in Russia and react accordingly,‘ Zelensky added, ’and when they are in this mood, then they undermine diplomacy, trying with various diplomatic formulations, with pressure on this or that point in the documents, simply to hide their desire to destroy Ukraine, Ukrainians, the desire to obtain legitimisation of Russia's theft of our land. And then there are other countries in Europe that someone in Russia might one day define as their “historic territories”."
