Providence (Rhode Island, USA), 19 December (LaPresse/AP) – The man suspected of killing two people and injuring nine others at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, was found dead in a storage facility in New Hampshire where he had rented an apartment. Claudio Neves Valente, 48, a former Brown University student and Portuguese citizen, was found dead on Thursday evening from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez said at a press conference. Perez said that, according to investigators, the suspect acted alone. Investigators believe Neves Valente is responsible for both the shooting at Brown University and the murder of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor, who was shot dead at his home in Brookline on Monday, said US Attorney for Massachusetts Leah B. Foley.
