An attack before Christmas, when people just want to be with their families, at home and safe. An attack carried out essentially in the middle of negotiations aimed at ending this war. Putin still cannot accept that he must stop killing, and this means that the world is not putting enough pressure on Russia.‘ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on social media after the massive attack by Russian armed forces during the night. ’Now is the time to respond. Russia must be pushed towards peace and guaranteed security," he added. ‘Air defence for Ukraine, funding for weapons procurement and the supply of energy equipment are processes that do not stop for the weekend,’ he concluded. ‘We must continue to work to protect lives and finally achieve peace. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine and to every leader and politician who will not remain silent.’
