Ankara (Turkey), December 24 (LaPresse/AP) – Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that the cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders of the private jet that crashed yesterday in Turkey carrying the Libyan delegation returning to Tripoli after talks in Ankara will be sent to a neutral third country for examination, to ensure impartial findings on the cause of the accident. Seven people, including the head of the Libyan army, died in the crash. The plane was carrying General Muhammad Ali Ahmad al-Haddad, four other officers, and four crew members. The four officers killed in the accident were General Al-Fitouri Ghraibil, head of the Libyan Ground Forces; Brigadier General Mahmoud Al-Qatawi, who headed the Military Production Authority; Mohammed Al-Asawi Diab, advisor to the Chief of Staff; and Mohammed Omar Ahmed Mahjoub, a military photographer in the Chief of Staff's office. The identities of the three crew members have not been disclosed.
