US Department of Justice: ‘Over 1 million documents on Epstein’

Washington (USA), 25 Dec. (LaPresse) – The US Department of Justice said on Wednesday that the completion of the publication of all documents on Jeffrey Epstein could take ‘a few more weeks’, further delaying compliance with the 19 December deadline set by Congress. The department said that the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, as well as the FBI, had found more than a million additional documents that could be relevant to the Epstein case. The Department of Justice did not specify when they were informed of these new documents. The Department of Justice insisted in its statement that lawyers are ‘working around the clock’ to review these documents and carry out the revisions required by the law, which was passed almost unanimously by Congress last month. ‘We will release the documents as soon as possible,’ the department said. ‘Due to the enormous volume of material, this process may take a few more weeks.’
