Washington (US), Dec. 31 (LaPresse/AP) – The US Department of Justice has expanded its review of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to 5.2 million, also increasing the number of lawyers involved in an effort to comply with a law requiring the disclosure of the files, according to a person familiar with a letter sent to federal prosecutors. The Justice Department has more than 400 attorneys working on the review, but does not expect to release further documents until January 20 or 21. The White House has not disputed the figures reported in the email and has referred to a statement by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who said the administration’s review has been conducted with an “approach that has involved all available resources”.
