Rome, Jan. 3 (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump has avoided expressing explicit support for María Corina Machado, leader of the Venezuelan opposition and recent winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Interviewed by Fox News, Trump said: “We have to evaluate that now,” in response to a question about possible support for the opposition leader following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife after the US military operation. The American president added: “There is a vice president, as you know. I don't know what kind of election it was, but Maduro's election was a disgrace.”
