Rome, 4 January (LaPresse) – A serious technical problem in the central radio frequency systems of the Athens and Macedonia area control centres, which are dependent on the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, has brought air traffic in Greece to a standstill. According to local media, the malfunction affected both Athens International Airport ‘Eleftherios Venizelos’ and regional airports, making arrivals and departures impossible.
