Milan, 8 January (LaPresse) – ‘It makes no military sense to target the energy sector and infrastructure, leaving the population without electricity and heating in the middle of winter. This is Russia's war against our people, against life in Ukraine, an attempt to destroy Ukraine.’ Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this in a post on social media. ‘For this very reason, support for our resistance and all forms of aid to our state must be maximised,’ he added. ‘Diplomatic talks cannot be a pretext for slowing down the supply of air defence systems and equipment that help protect lives. We are working with our partners to ensure that the response is adequate.’
