Rome, Jan. 9 (LaPresse) – Following a Russian attack on Kyiv, four people have died and 19 others were injured. According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko stated this in a post on Telegram. “At present, four deaths are confirmed; 19 people have been injured, 14 of whom have been hospitalized by doctors, while the others received treatment on site,” the statement read. One of the victims was a healthcare worker. Four other healthcare workers were injured. Critical infrastructure was damaged. Some districts of the city are experiencing electricity and water supply interruptions. In the Darnytskyi district, a drone fell into the courtyard of a residential building. A nearby one-story shop was partially damaged, as were the windows of a nearby nine-story residential building. Additionally, falling debris from the drone caused fires in two residential buildings and garages. In the Desnianskyi district, the impact of a drone on the roof of an 18-story residential building caused a fire. Emergency rescue teams are working in all affected locations.
