Milan, 9 January (LaPresse) – ‘In addition to our normal civilian infrastructure and energy facilities, a Russian drone damaged the Qatari embassy building last night. Qatar is a country that is doing a lot to mediate with Russia in order to free prisoners of war and civilians detained in Russian prisons.’ This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a social media post after Russia launched a massive attack overnight. “A clear response from the international community is needed. First and foremost from the United States, which is truly respected in Russia,” Zelensky added, “Russia must get the message that it is its duty to focus on diplomacy and suffer the consequences whenever it focuses again on murder and the destruction of infrastructure”.
