Nuuk (Greenland), 14 Jan. (LaPresse/AP) – Today, US Vice President JD Vance will meet with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and his Greenlandic counterpart Vivian Motzfeldt in Washington to discuss the Arctic island, which is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, a US ally in NATO. After the meeting at the White House, Løkke Rasmussen and Motzfeldt, together with the Danish ambassador to the United States, will meet with senators from the Arctic Caucus of the US Congress. Senator Angus King, an independent from Maine, will host the meeting. A bipartisan delegation of MPs will also travel to Copenhagen at the end of the week to meet with Danish and Greenlandic officials.
