Russia‑USA, Ryabkov: “No problem with contacts between embassies”

Moscow, Jan 25 (LaPresse) – Situations in which the Russian and U.S. embassies do not respond to calls or communications no longer occur. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with the Tass agency. "In general, the diplomatic missions both in Washington and in Moscow operate smoothly. There are no situations in which we cannot, so to speak, communicate technologically. We answer calls and emails," Ryabkov said. The Deputy Minister, however, emphasized that the regularity of contacts does not equate to substantial progress: "This, however, does not compensate for the lack of a meaningful response on some important issues," he added.
