Milan, 27 January (LaPresse) – US security guarantees for Ukraine will depend on whether Kiev agrees to withdraw its troops from the unoccupied part of Donbass, i.e. the parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions not occupied by Russia. This was reported by the Financial Times, which spoke to people familiar with the negotiations. The United States has also told Kiev that it could offer more weapons to strengthen its army in peacetime if it accepts an agreement.
