Milan, Jan. 29 (LaPresse) – The Iranian army has announced that it has a thousand new drones at its disposal and has threatened a “crushing response.” The statements, reported by Iran International, relaying information from the Tasnim agency linked to the Revolutionary Guards, come amid high tensions over threats of an attack by the United States. “Preserving and improving strategic advantages for rapid combat and a crushing response to any aggression is always on the army's agenda,” said Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami. According to Tasnim, the drones were built by army specialists with the support of the Ministry of Defense and were designed based on what Iran described as new threats and lessons learned from the 12-day war in June. These are combat, attack, surveillance, and electronic warfare drones designed to strike fixed and mobile targets by land, sea, and air.
