Rome, 10 February (LaPresse) – The crew of a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter lost their lives during a combat mission, according to a statement from the 11th Air Brigade of the Separate Army ‘Kherson’. The brigade reported that the aircraft did not return to base, describing the incident as a profound tragedy. “This loss is a great sorrow,” reads the statement, which expresses heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen soldiers, remembered as deeply devoted to their service and their country. ‘They loved the sky and Ukraine,’ the statement added, emphasising that ‘they will remain in the sky forever.’ A similar incident occurred in December 2025, when another Mi-24 crew was killed during a combat mission with personnel from the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade.
