Washington (USA), 23 Feb. (LaPresse) – "The United States provided intelligence support to the Mexican government" in the operation in which Nemesio 'El Mencho' Oseguera Cervantes "was eliminated." This was confirmed on X by White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt. "'El Mencho' was a high-priority target for the Mexican and U.S. governments, as one of the main fentanyl traffickers to our country," she explained. "Last year, President Trump rightly designated the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel as a foreign terrorist organization because that is exactly what it is. In the operation, three additional cartel members were killed, three were injured, and two were arrested," she continued. "President Trump has been very clear: the United States will ensure that the narcoterrorists sending lethal drugs to our homeland are made to face the justice they have long deserved. The Trump administration also praised and thanked the Mexican army for its cooperation and the successful execution of this operation," she added.
