Turin, 23 February (LaPresse) – ‘The development of the nuclear triad, which guarantees Russia's security and effectively ensures strategic deterrence and the balance of power in the world, remains a top priority.’ This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his message on Defenders of the Fatherland Day, as reported by Interfax. Russia, he added, will continue ‘large-scale work to strengthen the army and navy, taking into account the evolution of the international situation, based on the combat experience gained during the special military operation’ in Ukraine. ‘We will significantly improve the potential of all other branches and services of the Armed Forces, increasing their combat readiness, mobility and ability to operate in any conditions, even the most difficult ones. And, of course, we will accelerate the development of advanced systems for the Armed Forces,’ Putin further emphasised.
