Rome, 3 March (LaPresse) – ‘Italy is not at war with anyone; our Constitution prevents that. We are only concerned with protecting our citizens and our military personnel,’ Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told Sky Tg24. ‘We have received requests for logistical assistance with air defence equipment from some countries. We are evaluating what can be done. Naturally, all the necessary parliamentary steps will be taken if a decision is made in this direction, bearing in mind that the objective is to protect the 70,000 Italians currently living in the Gulf area,’ he added.
