Tel Aviv, Mar. 5 (LaPresse) – The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, spoke overnight with the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth. This was reported by Katz’s office and cited by media in Israel. According to reports, Katz expressed his condolences for the death of six U.S. soldiers killed in the Iranian attacks, “and emphasized that Israel is doing and will continue to do everything possible to help protect the safety of U.S. troops in the region.” Katz also thanked Hegseth “for his strong support of Israel and for the extensive assistance in defending the citizens of the State of Israel from the Iranian missile threat, and stressed the close and unprecedented cooperation between the armed forces to achieve all the objectives of the war.” Hegseth, for his part, “praised the unprecedented cooperation between the armed forces and the capabilities of the IDF.” “Go all the way, we are with you,” the Pentagon chief reportedly told his Israeli counterpart.
