Iran: new Supreme Leader appointed, announcement expected

Rome, 8 March (LaPresse) – The representative of the Supreme Leader in the province of Razavi Khorasan, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alam al-Huda, has announced that Iran's new Supreme Leader has been appointed. The news was reported by the Iranian news agency Mehr. It will now be up to the head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of Experts, Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, to publicly announce the name of Ali Khamenei's successor.
